DIY Front Porch Sign

Today our post is about a simple DIY front porch sign we made out of old fence boards.

We love recycling fence boards into farmhouse decor.

While shopping at Hobby Lobby we found these darling large metal letters. Immediately we knew we wanted to make something with them.

We were already talking about painting a “HOME” sign for the front porch. The letters were so cute, we loved the font and they were a perfect size so we picked up the letters H, M, and E.

The pre-made letters made our “HOME” sign a very easy build.

Supplies and Tools:

  • (2) aged fence boards cut to 5 feet
  • (2) 1′ x 4″ x 10″ boards
  • (8) #2 – 1 1/4″ screws
  • (2) Large cup hooks
  • H, M, & E letters (From Hobby Lobby)
  • Small wreath for the “O”
  • (12) 1 1/4″ galvanized roofing nails
  • White outdoor latex paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Sander
  • Saw to cut wood if needed
  • Hammer
  • Electric Drill
