I am so happy to share our DIY rustic wood privacy screen fence with you today.
About five years ago, a massive oak tree in our backyard split during a storm. Let me tell you, this was no small oak tree! We live on a quarter acre lot and this oak tree shaded about one-third of our backyard.
Due to the way, the tree split we were forced to cut the entire tree down. If left there was a risk of it falling on our home.
After cutting the tree down we ended up with a massive pile of wood rounds. The rounds still needed to be split to burn so we stacked them neatly.
The rounds started off being stacked nicely. After five years of hand splitting, burning, and another oak tree falling, well….. the pile was very disheveled and ugly.
We enjoy hosting BBQ’s and parties in our yard in the summer and spring fever had hit again. A few weeks ago, we decided to build a privacy screen fence. The privacy screen visually separates the area we entertain in and the back of the property.
