    Today’s post is about our DIY cement table top project. In a previous post, we revealed our kitchen table transformation of a table we got free off of craigslist. This is the transformation of our very, VERY old kitchen table. There is not enough room inside our house to use the old table. Our grown kids liked the table because all eight of us fit around it.     DIY Tree Stump Planter

    Today’s post is about our DIY tree stump planter we made in the stump of our 80-year-old fallen oak tree. The tree was huge!! The original oak covered about ¼-⅓ of our quarter acre lot with it’s branches. It really was an awesome tree. After it split, it was dangerous so we had no choice but to take it down. We decided to leave the stump a little taller than normal and use it in some creative way. In 2015, we made the stump into a table with an umbrella.
