DIY Vertical Donut Bar

Today we are going to share how we made our very own DIY vertical donut bar.

How many of you know someone who has a love affair with donuts? That person who would travel far distances because someone mentioned a donut that they deemed scrumptious.

People love this holy confection so much that it is becoming a popular dessert for weddings and birthdays alike.

We recently hosted a graduation party and having a donut bar was one of the requested food stations.

So we created our vertical donut bar and now we are going to share it with you.

We created two 24″ long stands instead of one 4 foot long stand. #1 for easy storage and #2 in case we wanted to host a smaller party, we would have the option to serve 1/2 the amount of donuts.

Each board will hold approx. 40 donuts so with both boards that is about 7 dozen donuts.

Tools & Supplies

  • Saw
  • Sander
  • 1/2′ Drill bit
  • Measuring tape
  • (2) 2″ x 6″ x 24″ boards
  • (4) 1/2 inch dowels 48″ long – cut to 15 7/8″ poles (we used 3/4 inch dowels and they were a bit difficult to fit the donuts over. In hind sight we recommend 1/2″ dowels.
